Overview

Situated at a height of 12,300 ft, Dayara Bugyal is perfect for beginners who are just starting to trek. Natural beauty is second to none over here and the temperature can drop to as low as -5-degree Celsius during the nights.
The best time for this trek is from December to March, as it is the time the mountains are covered with snow.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive to Barsu via Uttarkashi

Arrive at Barsu Via Uttarkashi by late afternoon. Check-in to the hotel and the rest of the day is free for personal exploration.
In Case you have requested for Pick up service from Dehradun, Our Guide/Tour Manager shall pick you from Dehradun Railway station in the morning at 7:00 AM.

Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2 - Barsu to Barnala (9,984 ft)

This morning starts very early and after breakfast, we start our trek to Barnala. The Climb is not steep and can be done quite easily even if you are a beginner.
We reach our campsite in Barnala by late afternoon and the rest of the day is free for personal exploration.
Lunch & Dinner is served at the campsite. Overnight stay in the tents.

Day 3 - Barnala to Dayara (12,300 ft ) via Bugyal & Back to Barnala

Post breakfast, we start our trek to Dayara Bugyal. Covered in snow during the winter season, it is spread over 28 sq km and is grazing ground for sheep and cattle. Enjoy the 360-degree view of the Himalayas.
Spend some quality time and appreciate the Himalayan view after reaching the top of Dayara Bugyal.
Later, we descend to our campsite in Barnala by evening. Overnight stay in the tents.

Day 4 - Barnala to Barsu & departure

Wake up early in the morning & after breakfast, we start our descend to Barsu. In the next 2-3 hours, we reach our base camp. Traveocal & it's partner services ends over here. If you have booked a return journey from Barsu to Dehradun, the same shall be arranged for you.

  • Transportation from Dehradun to Barsu and back to Dehradun.

The best way to reach Barsu is to take a bus or hire a taxi from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. Get off at Bhatwari & take another bus or taxi to Barsu. Kindly note that the buses & taxis are easily available.

This kind of trek requires a good amount of cardiovascular endurance and the easiest way to achieve it by Jogging every day.  Start at a slower pace and keep increasing the duration at regular intervals.
  • 25% of total package shall be applicable as cancellation fee if the tour is cancelled before 30 days or more of tour departure.
  • 50% of total package shall be applicable as cancellation fee if the tour is cancelled between 29 days to 21 days before the tour departure.
  • 100% of total package shall be applicable if the tour is cancelled 20 days before the tour departure.
  • No Refund shall be granted in case of No-Show.
  • Above Cancellation Policy may change as per the Hotel Cancellation Policy.
  • Once the Visa has been applied, Visa Fee shall become non-refundable.
  • Cancellation amount shall be calculated on the total package amount, irrespective of full booking amount has been paid or not.
  • Flights/Buses/Trains cancellation charges shall be as per their respective cancellation policy.
