Overview

Located at a height of about 2950 Mtr, Kheerganga Trek is one of the most well-known treks of Himachal Pradesh. This trek starts from Barshaini (at the dam built on River Parvati ) & goes to Kheerganga where you’ll be camping overnight in tented accommodation. The total distance covered during the trek is approx. 24 Km. If you are a beginner, this is one of the best treks to start as it is short & easy and can be completed in just 2 days. You can choose to undertake this trek at any time of the year as per your weather preference.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Trek from Barshaini to Kheerganga | 12 Kms | 5-6 Hours

Starting at 9:30 AM, Meet us at Barshaini. At Barshaini, you can refill your supplies in case you need them. From here we start our journey of 12 Kms that will take approximately 5-6 hours to cover. The start of the trek is a very gentle incline as we pass through the beautiful apple orchards. Massive Deodards & Oaks are a common sight en route to Kheerganga.

Upon reaching, Relax at the camp. Later, Jump straight into the Parvati Kund, a hot water spring that is also the highlight of this trek. At the end of the day, join in for the dinner. Overnight stay at the campsite in the tents.

Day 2 - Kheerganga to Barshaini | 12 Kms | 4-5 hours

Wake up early in the morning. Shortly after breakfast, we start our return trek to Barshaini in the Parvati valley. On our way back from Kheerganga, we come across Nakthan & Rudra Nag. At the end of the journey, you are free to explore nearby places like Tosh or continue your onward journey.

We suggest Delhi-Chandigarh-Mandi-Bhuntar by road. Regular bus services run from Delhi post 6 pm. Reaching Barshaini: Though accessible by local bus from Bhuntar, private taxi costing INR 900 – 1,000, is also an option. If you have time, avoid a cab. Take a bus from Bhuntar to Manikaran (36 km in 90) and from Manikaran to Barshani (18 km in 40 minutes). The last bus from Barshaini to Bhuntar is at 5:00 pm. A shared cab from Manikaran can be helpful if you are tight on schedule. They usually charge INR 75 – INR 100 per person.


  • 25% of total package shall be applicable as cancellation fee if the tour is cancelled before 30 days or more of tour departure.

  • 100% of total package shall be applicable if the tour is cancelled 20 days before the tour departure.

  • Once the Visa has been applied, Visa Fee shall become non-refundable.
  • Cancellation amount shall be calculated on the total package amount, irrespective of full booking amount has been paid or not.
  • Flights/Buses/Trains cancellation charges shall be as per their respective cancellation policy.
